Case Study

Streamlining Mergers & Acquisitions Workflow with Enhanced Internal Application

Objective:

Enhance the existing software to streamline manual tasks typically handled via Excel and DocuSign, optimizing productivity for client associates and relationship managers involved in mergers and acquisitions.

Outcome:

Through collaborative discovery, iterative design, and user-centric testing, the enhanced internal application for managing mergers and acquisitions evolved into a streamlined and intuitive platform. By addressing user pain points and incorporating stakeholder feedback, we not only optimized productivity but also cultivated a culture of user-centric design within the organization.

Together, we transformed manual workflows into efficient digital processes, empowering stakeholders to navigate mergers and acquisitions with ease and confidence.

Discovery:

Initiating the discovery phase, we meticulously documented the current manual processes in Miro, gaining clarity on existing pain points and inefficiencies. Mapping out future-state workflows, we identified opportunities for innovation and productivity enhancements.

Design & Usability Testing:

Advancing ahead of the sprint schedule, I iteratively designed features based on the workshop outcomes. Rigorous usability testing with end-users, including relationship managers, validated design assumptions and uncovered critical feature requirements previously overlooked. This collaborative approach not only ensured user-centricity but also fostered trust and buy-in from stakeholders.

Usability Testing Results:

By integrating usability testing into the design process, we uncovered a critical feature requirement missed during initial requirements gathering. This revelation, championed by the product owner following usability testing, underscored the importance of user feedback in refining product features and ensuring alignment with user needs.
