The Wiz Design is the creative outlet for Jesse Wisinski, an award-winning designer and graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with over 16 years of professional design, development and digital strategy experience.
Jesse has worked with hundreds of global and national businesses including retailers like The Home Depot, Lowe’s and Walmart, home improvement brands Olympic Paints & Stains, Lutron, Liquid Nails and Glidden, as well as Disney, American Eagle Outfitters, Nautica and former Major League pitcher Roger Clemens.
By day, Jesse manages a team of extremely-talented Web designers and UX-ers and challenge them to make compelling, user-focused, data-driven digital experiences in the UX Center of Excellence (CoE) at PPG Industries.
Jesse's career at PPG has evolved from being a web designer working in a waterfall environment, to creating a product design team and being a critical piece of the success of any digital initiative in an Agile Scum environment.
In recent years, he was preparing his team for the unknown digital transformation seen at PPG Industries in 2020. This included leading the team to adopt customer interactions, usability testing and other human-centered design practices, as well as broadening the team’s T-shaped skill sets in front-end development, which ultimately prepared them for being part of an Agile Scrum development team that PPG recently adopted.
His specialties include digital and brand strategy; user experience design and prototyping with HTML/CSS, Axure and UXPin; usability testing; mobile-first responsive web design; website development; search engine optimization (SEO); and E-Mail Marketing.
Jesse lives his life to honor his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has completed the Pittsburgh Half and Full Marathon and two full Tough Mudders. He also enjoys 80's nostalgia, music and the outdoors.
